TheraSuit therapy for Deegan!
Donation protected
Deegan is 4 years old, he is an amazing, happy go lucky child, his smile lights up the whole room and is one of the most determined little boys I know!! But, there is one thing trying to hold him back...
Spastic Diplegic Cerebral palsy, which means that the muscles in his lower extremities are very tight, in turn making it very difficult to walk. He gets around by crawling or by walking in a walker.
Cerebral palsy is considered a neurological disorder caused by a non-progressive brain injury or malformation that occurs while the child’s brain is under development.
Deegan is an identical twin, his brother Nate is perfectly healthy. They were born 6 weeks early.. About three hours after Deegan was born both lungs collapsed which dramatically decreased his oxygen levels and caused damage to his brain.
Our wish for Deegan is to walk independently, there is a lot of things that we can do to make this wish come true but unfortunately it also comes with a huge cost!
There is a surgery that we are hoping he is eligible but at the moment we are focusing on his therapy.
There is a type of intensive therapy that we would like for him to have the chance to do, it's called TheraSuit.
TheraSuit is a biomechanical suit that is used to increase feedback to the brain and enhance purposefull movement. It is the cutting edge therapeutic technique for the treatment of Cerebral Palsy.

The intensive therapy block goes for three weeks, starting on the 31st October 2016 in Adelaide. The therapy alone costs $6500! Then there is flights, accommodation, travel and so on..
It is very hard for us to speak up and ask for help but we will do anything for our Deegs!!
Your donations will help Deegan to receive this therapy and hopefully get him up and chasing his brothers around!
No donation is too small, and they are all appreciated very much.
We are hoping that you can help bring us closer to making this dream come true.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Denni, Daniel, Tyce, Nate & Deegan
