Carolyn is an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, co-worker and friend to so many! She is always putting other's needs before hers and now she needs our help!
Shortly after delivering twins in 2008 she was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy (https://www.kidney.org/atoz/content/iganeph). She had some success with chemotherapy; however, the disease has recently progressed. Carolyn now requires daily dialysis, and her need for a kidney transplant has become more immediate.
The good news is, through the hard work of Carolyn and her loved ones, a living donor has been identified! Not only that, as part of the donation program, her husband Rick will be giving one of his kidneys to help another person in need. Both surgeries will be this month.
As you can imagine, this is both an exciting and anxiety-provoking time for Carolyn and her family. We are fundraising to help with expenses as both Carolyn and her husband recover. Please join us in supporting Carolyn and her family!
