Please Help Bring George Home
George is a 10 year old ginger cat. He has spent his life living in Sydney, Australia. He was loved and cherished by his owner all his life.
Unfortunately, his owner had to return to Ireland in March of this year due to ill health. She left George with her neighbour while she was in Ireland. Her plan was to go back to Australia as soon as she could, but that is not to be as she must stay here.
A couple of months ago her neighbours moved away and left poor George to fend for himself. Some time later, George either was dumped or managed to travel 20km away from the only home he knew.
Fortunately for George he was microchipped and some kind people tracked down where he was from and brought him back to the local vet in his area where he now is.
At present George is not happy being in a cage all day and the vet said this can only be for a small amount of time. So time is running out for George.
His owner is distraught and would love to have him back home with her here but, unfortunately she cannot afford his travel costs.
We are a group of his owners' friends who got together to appeal to all animal lovers to please help us to bring Gorge home. If you feel you would like them both to be reunited please donate anything you can, no matter how small, everything helps. Please help us give George his Purr back. All monies raised over the required travel costs for George will be donated to Galway Cat Rescue.
