The O'Hearn Family

Dylan O'Hearn, son Scott and Ann O'Hearn, was in a very serious accident in Fairlee, VT Tuesday July 26th.  As a result of the accident, Dylan, age 12, was taken to the hospital where he was in the intensive care unit for the following four days.   Dylan peacefully passed away on Saturday afternoon July 30, 2016 while in the loving presence of his family.   He had suffered a major cardiac event while swimming due to an underlying condition called Long QT Syndrome.

A rising 7th grader at Rivendell Academy, Dylan O'Hearn was a gentle and compassionate person whose presence made the world a better place.  Dylan will be universally remembered for his kindness, thoughtfulness, helpfulness, generosity, and amazing leadership. He was physical, smart, funny, sensitive and gregarious. He was 100% engaged in living each day to the fullest.

 With condolences to his mom and dad, Ann and Scott O'Hearn, and his sisters Rachel and Lindsey, friends, family and colleagues are rallying to support the family at this time.  Aside from meals, community gatherings, and the kindred spirit of neighbors and school friends,  a fund is being created to help the family with untold expenses and costs that arise whenever such a tragic, untimely passing of a child and loved one occurs.
