If you know Melissa Steele then you know what an incredible human being she is and what incredible human beings she is raising in her children.
As a parent she is a true inspiration that seems to have more hours in the day than most people and she gives them all, not just to her children but to many other peoples children through her multi-sport coaching and super fandom. She brings an upbeat, brightside approach to everything she does and its infectious! What's so amazing about Mel is that she does this in pain every. damn. day! (<- so Melissa).
Five years ago she underwent a surgery that she has never really recovered from and 130+ appointments and five additional surgeries later she finally has the opportunity to have one last surgery to get her life back. In a stroke of well-deserved fortune, she was able to get an appointment at UCLA in October to have the implanted device at the root of the cause finally removed. All the glorious details are available on her FB page, if you know her then you probably already know them!
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for her to get well, but it will cost a lot of money, we don't know exactly how much, but it will be a lot. For someone like Mel I doubt there will be much complaint from the hundreds of people that love and support her to help out with these bills, and we hope that there are hundreds of people that maybe don't know her, or simply know of her through urban legend that will also help out.
