Support Anthony's Road to Recovery

On Sunday, May 26th, my sister's boys, Anthony and Charlie, were involved in a devastating car accident. The two were heading to the gym, like they often do, when their car was hit head-on by a vehicle without its headlights on, along a dark stretch of road. Charlie, the younger brother, was driving and, fortunately, escaped with minor injuries. However, Anthony wasn't as lucky. The impact was on Anthony's side, causing severe injuries. Trapped inside the car, Anthony was heroically rescued by Charlie, who pulled him out when the vehicle began to smoke.

Both boys were rushed to St. Jo's in Joliet, but due to the seriousness of Anthony's injuries, he was transferred to Loyola in Maywood for specialized care. Anthony immediately underwent surgery to bolt his leg and stabilize his fractured hip. Currently, their parents, Dave and Yolanda, are anxiously awaiting further options from an orthopedic specialist to repair Anthony's broken hip.

We are incredibly grateful that both Anthony and Charlie survived this horrific accident. However, the journey to recovery is going to be long and financially challenging. Anthony will be out of work for months, and the medical bills from ambulance rides, surgeries, hospital stays, and specialist care are mounting rapidly.
