On the night of Oct. 24, 2020 I was rushed to the ER in Yuma, Arizona because I had lost half of my blood in my stool throughout that week. I was quickly placed in the ICU because the blood transfusions was not helping my hemoglobin go up. After 2 major exams that early morning I was diagnosed with Meckel’s Diverticulum and had a major emergency surgery later that morning. I had 7 units of blood transfusion that day. A part of my small intestine was removed. I had an NG tube up my nose down to my stomach and couldn’t eat for 5 days after surgery. I was in the hospital for 10 days when I finally got discharged and only able to eat broths, jello, and other light foods. Three weeks after that, one night I went to the restroom and again passed out because I started losing blood for the second time. Got rushed to the hospital another time and had 3 exams done that time. They couldn’t figure out where I was bleeding from, so they planned to send me to Phoenix on a helicopter if I kept on losing blood, but thank God they stabilized me after 3 units of blood. I didn’t have insurance, so they couldn’t transport me to Phoenix, because I was stabilized and to them it wasn’t so urgent. That’s when I got discharged after 4 days and I been trying to set up my insurance and see a GI specialist to do further exams to see where that bleeding came from. Now, thank God I have been recovering from that time and eating better but still keep it light. I passed the stages of pain, anxiety and nausea that I would feel and just been feeling better day by day since then. A huge THANK YOU to those who have prayed for me and kept me in their prayers. Thank you to those who have helped and I appreciate all those who will be able to reach out to help me and my family, since I have been their primary help. I know times are tough because of Covid-19 and especially since the holidays are here, I just need some assistance to get through with medical bills and other necessary expenses. God bless you all, and once again thank you!
