Bob's Medical Expenses

Hello family and friends.  Many of you are unaware of the struggle my parents have been going through, we have been trying to keep it private, for dad's sake, but Mom and Dad are now in need of some help.  Back in January Dad was diagnosed  with Stage 4 lung cancer.  He has fought a very hard battle, with chemotherapy, and it has taken a big toll on his health.  Last month was his last treatment and the prognosis was good, the tumor had stopped growing and we thought we were done with the hardest part.  Dad continued to have a extreme weakness in his left side, which they attributed to neuropathy from the chemo.  The weakness has continued to get worse, so mom decided to take him to the ER early last week.  To our horror and heartbreak the doctors found two tumors in dads brain and one in his back.  This has been really hard on everyone, especially mom and dad.  Anyone who knows my dad, knows that he is a strong man full of pride and love for his family, and he is not ready to give up the fight.  He is scheduled to do radiation on the tumors, starting next week, in hopes to kill the tumors and regain his strength.  Mom and Dad are wonderful people who are madly in love, and would never dream of asking for help.  The bottom line is, they are in despreate need of it.  Dad has worked hard everyday of his life, to support his family.  Mom and dad now are living off of social security and the small nest egg they had saved has slowly depleted. They have both worked so hard to be in the place they are today, and I would hate for this setback to take it all from them.  Dad has medicare insurance, and as many of you know, it does not cover everything.  Dad will be in need of many things, other than just the hospital bills.  There will be a new wheelchair, lifts, ramps, garage door opener, phsysical therapy at the house, etc.  Please if you have the means and can find it in your hearts to donate, it will be greatly appreciated.  All of us children would love to do this on our own, but we can not do it all.  This would help relieve the stress for mom so she could just concentrate on dad.
