Love for the Etue Family
Donation protected
My name is Erica Leach. I currently live in Oklahoma. I am trying to raise money for my sister and her family who are now victims of the recent flooding along the Gulf Coast.
The flood waters began Friday, August 12, 2016, in Zachary, Louisiana. The waters kept rising. Not much sleep was had. Roads were blocked. There was no way in or out of their neighborhood. Finally, at 6:30 this morning, a boat picked up my sister, Kjersti, and their two small children. Only women and children were allowed at this time. Dustin and Kjersti were so worried about their sweet neighbors. Kjersti was seperated from Dustin and his mother for a while. The fear of uncertainty was real. Kjersti and her children made it to a bus from the boat and were able to get to safety in a middle school. Shortly thereafter, they were reunited with Dustin and his mother, Penny, thanks to precious angels sent to watch over them. For now this sweet family is safe with family in Louisiana, but they lost a lot. I believe we are here to bless the lives of others and reach out to those in need. I don't know what it will take to help them get back on their feet, but they are going to need all the love they can get after this disaster. Let's rally around this family who shows so much love and concern for others. I know they are both so overcome with emotions right now at the outpouring of love and concern shown in their behalf. Money earned will go toward meeting their basic needs, possibly a down payment for a home or car, for clothing, groceries, and to keep afloat with the medical bills they were already paying on.
