Kylie Joy Hendress, age 32, passed away on Thursday, August 11 due to complications during childbirth. She was the wife of Nick Hendress for almost 6 years and loving mother of her 4 year old daughter and newborn. Born in Alexandria, Indiana, she is the daughter of Mark and Dena Hosier of Alexandria, Indiana and sister of Whitney (Hosier) Webb. Growing up, she competed on Academic teams, enjoyed learning in school, and was very active in 4-H while showing livestock competitively all over Indiana with her family. She was a ten (10) year 4-H member. After being the Valedictorian of the Alexandria-Monroe High School class of 2002, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Butler University in Business. Kylie was extremely compassionate and enjoyed helping other people in agriculture. She used her take charge leadership skills and outgoing personality to run several National Conferences for Agrability, where she helped farmers who had been disabled due to medical conditions or injuries get back to farming. She knew every farmer she worked with by name and through this program, she greatly helped and touched the lives of countless farmers across the country. One farmer that she helped, in particular, was her father who had been injured in a farming accident. She helped him in any way she could, especially selling show pigs every spring alongside her sister. Additionally, Kylie used her passion and business skills to initiate the Indiana Landrace Association, to help young 4-H members show Landrace swine. Kylie enjoyed animals, working in her garden, and most of all, spending time with her family. Kylie’s pride and joy was her 4 year old daughter, Kenzie and spent every minute possible with her.

Nick and Kylie were both very quick to help out others in need in the Reynolds/White County communities. Nick has been a volunteer for Honey Creek Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years, serving as Assistant Chief 6 years,  Nick and Kylie were also instrumental in beginning the Reynolds Festival, a free family festival for the community, as well as countless other community support activities.

As the Hendress and Hosier families have given and helped so many, this account has been set up in an effort to assist Nick and the girls with medical bills, and help Nick transition into to this difficult role of raising these two beautiful little girls without their mommy.
