Justice for Ozzy

Last night we came home to our best pal Ozzy only to notice that he had taken a shot to his face with a shotgun. We immediately picked him up and rushed him to the ER. I honestly thought that we were going to lose him due to the amount of blood loss he had encountered and we could not get control of the bleed related to the location of the wound. The next morning I brought him to the wonderful Dr. Landry at Spay Neuter Clinic of Lafayette. She observed and provided excellent care for Ozzy all day. Unfortunately, she had to be the bearer of not so great news to these already heartbroken parents. Ozzy completely lost an eye and with a lot of support and prayers we are hoping to be able to stabilize his vision in his other eye that way he does not go completely blind. I will do anything that it takes to be able to get him back in the best of health that he can be. He will need a great deal of one on one time and much practice to get accustom to his new life style. All of this due to some SICK SICK human being. Fortunately for Ozzy, he has a great support system from you all following this. Anyone that knows him personally knows that he is such a friendly dog who has a very calm demeanor. It makes me feel HORRIBLE that such a sick person has our baby boy suffering like this. Then, to get away with it! Even through all the pain and suffering Ozzy is STILL wagging his tail and has a heart full of love. Praying justice is served and that he has a successful recovery. We are all ready for him to be out of this suffering soon. Ozzy is our FAMILY, he has been by our side through it all, the ups & downs and has always loved and supported us unconditionally and we will be right by his side every step of the way doing the same for him.

 

Anything that is donated to JusticeforOzzy will first go towards his medical bills. He has to have a busted eye removed as soon as possible that way an infection does not begin to form. Next, he needs to go to a specialist in Baton Rouge to see if they can manage to save his vision in the other eye. He has a bill from his ER visit and the medications that were prescribed and administered to him. Has to have an X-RAY done once the Edema goes down to make sure that there are not any shotgun pellets in his face. It is recommended that he has some chipped teeth removed and much more such as attorney fees. Because I would really love for the man who put him through this to get what he deserves. You might be able to do twisted things with the law whenever you have family that works for them but, remember, the man up above knows the TRUTH and I hear he sends down a big girl called KARMA whenever he sees you not doing rightfully so. We all know that this bullet did not belong in sweet Ozzy's face but up the person's ass who did this to him.
