Louisiana Flood Victim Supplies

This past week parts of Louisiana has has experienced some of the worse flooding in the history of over 50 years.  Hundreds of thousands of people have evacuated and left homes that are completed flooded and waters continue to rise as the rain continues as I spoke to one family member this evening where the water was 1 inch from coming into his house and now is flooded in just 2 hours after our conversation. 

The residents of Pensacola and surrounding areas are putting together supplies to be brought to the National Guard where they will take the supplies and drop them to local shelters and other secured areas.  I spoke to one National Guard Rescue unit this afternoon and he said the need is so great that shelters are running out of food and water and they are working as hard as they can and running out of resources, which prompted us to jump on board really quickly. 

The GoFundMe funds will be used to buy food and supplies before we leave Pensacola which will hopefully be Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.  This account was set up after a few friends from out -of-state wanted to participate in the relief efforts but could not because they were so far away.
