Bring These Babies Home!

We all hear horror stories of CPS taking children from homes undeservingly. This is an absolute nightmare that no family wants to find themselves in.

This loving family and I met back when the parents were pregnant with their second child. We grew a friendship that stands strong today through the years. They are now a family of 7, who are believers of Christ and love to serve at their Church as well as their community. Mom is a stay at homemaker  for their 5 children and provides them with an excellent homeschool education. They love to spend time together as a family and the parents live for their children.

The family moved to Texas almost a year ago. The 5 children ages 6, 3, 2 and the two youngest being twins who are 7.5 months old. The family is overjoyed with the newest members of the family. Amid all the joy, unfortunately their story takes a sad turn.

This loving family is currently a victim of the broken CPS system in our country. All 5 of the family’s beloved children were coerced into a removal by making the parents believe that they would be taken to court if they wouldn’t comply with CPS.

It all started in late May, when mom noticed twin baby boy had a bruise on his ankle. The next day his leg was swollen. Mom took him to an urgent care for X-rays that revealed 3 fractures. The doctor immediately said to mom “your baby has fractures and I’m reporting you to CPS”. Without any previous knowledge of this family, of this mom, or without any evidence. Mom was left with baby in a room for an hour and a half  without further information, when suddenly a cop arrived. Later a criminal detective entered the room for pictures and questions then immediately mom was named a “suspect” in the case.

After, they were escorted to the children’s hospital in downtown San Antonio. They did a skeletal survey and they found 3 identical fractures in each leg. Then this “center of miracles” with doctors who “specialized” in abuse were called. The next day the doctor from the center spoke to mom affirming, that it wasn’t fractures typical of abuse but typical of bone disease, later that day, baby boy was diagnosed with Osteopenia, Rickets, Rachitic Rosary and Hypotonia.

Mom contacted the CPS worker to tell him of the diagnoses, he would hear nothing of the diagnosis. The day after discharge they were told by CPS that the doctor from the center of miracles found 10 fractures, he has always alleged it  physical abuse, they coerced them into this PCPSP” parent children placement safety plan” and CPS took the kids into a friend of the family’s home where they have been very well taken care of and loved.

The parents eventually retained a lawyer, who tried to negotiate with CPS to at least bring the three oldest back home until further testing were done on the twins.  CPS didn’t agree, various offers were given but they didn’t comply. The lawyer asked the parents to “pull the trigger” and remove all three of the oldest children because it’s obvious the babies have a medical condition.  The twin sister got examined and tested and she also showed fractures but never a symptom of those. Now they want to go to court and request removal of the 3 oldest ones again and requested a chapter 262, because the doctor at the “miracle center” insist in physical abuse, despise the medical conditions any boy has been diagnosed with, and the many different doctors who have said it’s not abuse but medical conditions. This family has never been involved in any of these alleged accusations. What a broken system we have. In the meantime there are thousands of children being abused and no one is doing anything for them.

Now further testing needs to be done for Osteogenisis Imperfecta. The twin boy has prominent forehead, barrel like rib cage, moderate hearing loss, and alongside with his twin sister they are both developmentally delayed, have a flat head, low bone density, and blue sclera, which are all signs of Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Until it is fully diagnosed parents will have to be fighting for their children in court with lawyers.

Please keep this precious family in prayer as they’ve had some really tough days since this horrible nightmare began. Pray for strength for this precious Momma who has been through a lot of emotional distress, as well as the three older children.

This go fund me will help cover the testing to confirm the condition, Osteogenisis Imperfecta, as well as the lawyers and legal fees which are adding up day by day. These two babies need their mom more than ever and this family needs to be restored back together.  Thank you for reading their story and if you are able to help thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts. May God bless you all.
