Hello, my name is Robert, and most people know me as Junior I'm forty-six and a single parent to a beautiful daughter that's going to turn twenty-two next month. My story is like most people who were doing well one moment and just like that it changed. Any money that is given will help with food, utilities and medical for me and my daughter while I get better enough to return to the workforce. Just a dollar will help if you can not donate please consider sharing Thank you.
On July 27th, 2022 after finishing my workday and I went home, showered and ate my dinner. Then out of nowhere, I felt like I was going to die, my head started pounding like I never felt before, my heart was racing and it felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. I got dizzy and lightheaded, things started to go dark and my body went into a panic. The only thing that I thought to do was call my mom and tell her I felt like I was going to die can you come over and be with me? After some time went by, some of my symptoms calmed down I was left with the feeling of death and confusion. The next day I went to my doctor to see what may have happened to me. At first, she thought it was a panic attack so I went back to work for the next two weeks. Every day it was a struggle to get out of bed, go to work, sleep, eat and just function. My head would hurt and pound nonstop, my body would shake and hurt, and I felt lightheaded and dizzy all day long. On August 12th, 2022 I could not take it anymore, it was not getting better but got worse. I went back to my doctor and she started to do more testing, blood work, x-rays, and MRIs and try this med and that med. After three months and I'm not getting any better but worse and losing thirty-three pounds because I was so sick and could not eat anything at all and ended up in the ER. In October my doctor started to send me to see all kinds of specialists and they had tests, and meds to try. Intell one GI specialist ran a test that showed my gallbladder was functioning at a higher than normal rate and he referred me to a surgeon. By the end of November, I was in surgery to have my gallbladder removed, he told me it was full of scar tissue and had a stone stuck in a gall tube that I had to get removed by a GI specialist, I had two GI Doctors try to remove the stone but at the end, it passed through the gall tube on its own. In the middle of January 2023, I was able to eat food and gain some weight back. But I was still dealing with all of my other symptoms, so my doctor started me to try antianxiety meds in January to help with the panic and antianxiety attacks. We found one that I could take by the end of February it has helped with the attacks but I'm still dealing with the Antianxiety and all my other symptoms and some new ones that I developed since. Now at the end of April still fighting to get my health better I had a good long talk with my doctor about what could be happening to me that tests and meds could not find. And in the past, we would wonder if it could be covid related because of some of the symptoms that I'm having since I did not get tested right away my doctor thought I was just having panic attacks. But now she believes that I have long-haul covid and PTSD she is trying to help me the best that she can with all these symptoms that I have she does not know when I could get better we're just taking it day by day. I have been off work since August I have used up all of my vacation, sick, wellness and personal days I was able to get some shared leave that is about to run out here soon since I am not able to return to my job they're going to let me go when my shared leave is up at the end of May. So that's why I'm here asking for help it's not easy for me to ask for help since I have been able in the past to find my way out of problems but here I am asking for your help. Thank you for reading my story and donating or sharing my story with others.
