Jacob's medical expenses

In 2010 our oldest son Jacob was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitist (AIH) after spending a weekend in the Hospital.  Only 5 years old at the time Jacob was already in and out of the Hospital alot.  The doctors told us that AIH was a autoimmune disease that turns the immune system against a persons liver and tries to reject it.  Through a biopsy the doctors told us that Jacob's  liver was damaged but it would heal itself in time.  Jacob had to be put on an organ anti rejection medication to stop his body from hurting itself and is still on these meds at 12 years old.  The doctors believed that Jacob was reacting to certain foods, mainly corn.   Since most medications have corn or soy in them we had to have all of Jacob's medications made at a compounding pharmacy not covered by our insurance.  Jacob also ends up in the Hospital several times a year due to how he reacts to foods.   My wife has done a superhuman job of eliminating those foods that caused Jacob's problems but it is hard to find food for him.  Most of his food is homemade and requires alot of work on her part.  

 
This photo is of Jacob fighting Darth Vader at Disney World on his Make-A-Wish trip.  We had a great time and it was the last vacation we as a family were able to go on 3 years ago.  Our family struggles with medical bills from testing, uncovered medications and Hospital visits.  Any money raised from this website will only go towards Jacob's medical bills and food.  It has been the hardest thing to write this but we are in need of some help when it comes to our oldests sons medical issues.  Any help that we recieve would truly mean the world not only to us but to Jacob.
