American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive

Hello, As the very proud Dance mom of a Ballerina I come to you all for help. My daughter Nellianna has been dancing since she was 9 years old and at 12 was accepted to the inland pacific ballet academy where she learned exceptional technique in classical ballet and fell in love with everything ballet. As a ballet student she is and always has been very dedicated and disciplined in learning this graceful but strenuous Art. Spending hours per week in class , injured or not to achieve proper presentation is her goal. She has performed numerous times in IPB’s The Nutcracker and other studio productions. Nellianna is now proudly an apprentice with inland pacific ballet despite some set backs. Back in 2020 she auditioned for the American Ballet theater summer intensive program and was accepted. She was looking forward to attending the prestigious training that would help to prepare her in accomplishing her dream of someday becoming a professional ballerina. Sadly the pandemic derailed that dream while she aged out of many opportunities waiting for it to end. Fortunately, an opportunity for training in New York with American Ballet theatre has presented itself once again and after a great audition in January she was accepted to their Collegiate summer intensive program! As a college (psychology) student at Cal Poly who continues to train with inland pacific ballet and perform in their productions, very little time for employment is left but she still finds a way to generate a little income for her expenses. However, the upcoming training with ABT, plus travel and accommodation expenses go far beyond what she is able to acquire on her own. As her parents we (and her siblings) will do what we can to help but have also decided to humble ourselves in asking for help. We certainly don’t want this second chance to pass her by and hope to make right what the pandemic almost took away. Your help in any amount is appreciated and will greatly help in getting her to NY in June for training .
