Life threatening dental work

Well, I'm almost ashamed at this point to even consider asking for help, but this is massively outside my reach.

As of 3/22/2024 my visit to the dentist for suddenly jaw pain, swelling, and a constant toothache was revealed to be an infection that had spread to multiple teeth before showing itself proper, and is threatening to slowly spread to the jawbone if something isn't done about it soon. These sorts of infections carry an ungodly amount of health risks, let alone the risk of death if untreated, and I've certainly felt some aspects of being sick since it started showing itself.

The dental x-rays and discussion with my dentist today confirmed that nearly the entire top row of my teeth will need to be removed and replaced with either implants or dentures in order to save both my mouth and my health. Of course I can’t get the surgery if I can’t pay for it, which is why I'm already having insurance plans roll into place to try and further take the cost of this down.

For transparency, what this means is:

Entire cleaning (top/bottom) and disinfection costs: $1,967.

Full extraction of compromised teeth and infection removed: $8,875.

Denture work to replace lost teeth: $3,075.

And of course any miscellaneous costs for fitting, antibiotics and more.

Ultimately the total cost before insurance is coming down to $14,059.

Now, it should be noted that those prices are without insurance. The cost with insurance is going to be marginally less than what I've listed here, but, acquiring that insurance and the funds I'll need is still a subject to be addressed. I'll have the insurance I need by then, but I'm not certain I'll have the funds ready to go, and the idea of this infection managing to take my life because we didn't know it was there, even from cleanings, terrifies me. Following that I'll be considering implants and semi-permanent dentures. Those, in and of themselves, are included in the total costs, which is a blessing, as I could be running a much, much higher bill than I am.

I'm aware the initial goal is VERY high, and I don't expect to meet it. Anything that is met will go towards the dental costs exclusively, and help with recovery. Anything, even a dollar, that can be donated to helping cover these bills and stay afloat would be a kindness beyond measure.

Even if all you do is share this and boost this fundraiser, that alone could mean the difference in my fight. Thank you all so very very much.

Edit: I've avoided uploading images of the x-rays and infections just because most people won't want to see that sort of thing, and I do want to keep some form of privacy for myself, and comfort for those reading.
