Ok Guys,
The Barbie Boys are off again this time taking part in the 30km Brisbane Kokoda Challenge. We are wanting to raise some much needed funds to help out a genuine family that appreciate our help. Any donation would be appreciated no matter how small, it will all add up. Please read the Story of Riley and dont be scared to offer a donation. If we reach our goal all the Barbie Boys will wear a 10kg vest during the challenge.

Riley's Story (Smiley Riley)
Riley is a 15 year old happy go lucky young man who is waiting on his second Kidney Transplant. Riley’s first kidney was donated by his Grandfather in November 2004, but sadly last November his kidney started to fail.
In April this year Riley needed to go on Peritoneal Dialysis, but by June due to too many complications Riley was unable to keep going with this treatment. Due to this they had to go to plan B which was a different type of Dialysis called Haemodialysis which could only be done in a hospital. Since June Riley has been going into the Lady Cilento Hospital three days a week to receive treatment. Lady Cilento Hospital has been Riley's second home over the years as he has had over one hundred surgeries since he was born, but still Riley always smiles. (Why he is nicked named "Smiley Riley")
Riley's transplant will hopefully be very soon, Riley is receiving a new kidney from his dad (Dan) who had to go through months of testing to be eligible. So when the surgery finally takes place he will need quite a few weeks off work to recover.
During this time it is going to get a lot more costlier for the family. With Dan having time of work, bills to pay and not forgetting all the travel costs and parking they already have to pay now. It is really tough on the family not only financially but also physically and emotionally. The family has missed out on day trips even holidays due to spending so much time either in hospital or at home due to Riley's health.
Through our help and support the Family can focus on Riley and Dan's recovery and not have to burden themselves with worry of any financial difficulty. They might be even able to take a family holiday once it is all over and the boys have fully recovered.
