LSU SVM Flood Fund Animal Treatment
Donation protected
Southeast Louisiana is experiencing a crisis unlike no other. While Hurricanes are not uncommon, the flooding event that occured this past weekend is unprecedented. As a result, tens of thousands of Louisiana citizens have been displaced, losing homes, cars, and all their personal items. Many of these displaced citizens are also pet (dog, cat, exotic) or animal (horse, farm animal) owners, and these animals are suffering and need medical care. The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine is currently being referred small and large animal cases in need of a range of medical and surgical needs. Because of their losses, many of these owners cannot afford veterinary care. This request is to provide financial resources for the direct medical and surgical care of animals presented to the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH). Your gift will also be used to cover hospitalization for these patients. The need for this support is now because these cases are being presented as this request is being written. These families have already endured significant hardship, and we know your gift will help lessen their burden by providing the best care possible for these important family members. These families and the LSU VTH thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
