James' Funeral and Expenses

Donation protected
On August 9, 2016 James, while riding his motorcycle, was hit by a car. He was airlifted to USC Medical Center where they immediately took him into surgery. He suffered severe brain injuries, many broken bones, and just so much unseen harm. Initially it seemed hopeful that James would be able to make a recovery (though very long and he would probably never be the same) but as the week passed his conditioned worsened. Monday (August 15th) it became very clear that James was not going to make the recovery we were all so very hopeful for.

Wednesday August 17, 2016 the medical staff and doctors removed the respirator and James passed away into the arms of Jesus within moments at 8:59 PM.  He was 32 years old (September 9 he would have been 33).

James served in the Air Force for 4 years as Military Police being stationed in Minot, North Dakota. He had recently completed is Bachelors Degree with plans to continue onto his Masters in computer software. James was often at the park walking his dog Dakota or taking her to the dog beach down in Long Beach. He is survived by his parents, sister, brother, nephew, and niece.

While James' death has brought us great sorrow, there is now great joy for several families that have been waiting for an organ donor. Several people have been given organs from James and now have the chance to live and thrive.

The family is grieving this sudden and heartbreaking loss. While we mourn and cry out to Jesus as to why He would take James with still so much life to live we rest in the peace of God. We rest in knowing that James is now healed not because he was a good person, because like all of us he was not and his sins were many. We rest because James confessed with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believed in his heart that God raised him from the dead. James had been wrestling with the Lord the months prior to his death, but the Lord would not let him go.

A parent should never have to bury their child. In the midst of their mourning James' parents, Warren and Connie, are now working out funeral details. We are asking that as you see fit to make a donation to help ease this sudden cost. We desire to honor James and celebrate his life.

We are so grateful for your love and help.
