Jessica's Medical Expense

My name is Jeremy Munday, and I have worked with Jessica for the past 3 years at Med Express.  During that time, I have had the pleasure to become very good friends with her.  With this fundraiser, I hope that this will help to offset some of her medical bills that she will have with her upcoming surgery.

During early March, Jessica began to notice left lower leg pain with redness and streaking up the leg.  She was having difficulty walking and was sent to have an Ultra Sound of her leg that came back negative.

One week later, she began to have sudden pain, more swelling, and developed "numbness" in her foot.  She was taken to WMRMC ER where she again had another Ultra Sound only to find that she had (5) blood clots in her leg.  She also had a Cat Scan of her chest and a Pulmonary Embolism was found in her left lung.

She was hospitalized for 5 days, and had a thrombolectomy to "bust up the clots", received iron infusions, and was placed on a heparin IV drip.  She had a known uterine fibroid that was also found to be compressing the iliac vein which was causing the blood clots.  She was diagnosed with Anemia, (2) blood clotting disorders, and now is taking a blood thinning injection (2) times a day.

Jessica is scheduled to have surgery on September 1st to remove all of her fibroids (Francesca & Family) as they are better known.  She will be off roughly 6-8 weeks from work and will not have any paid time off to use during this period, as all of her time was used when she was hospitalized earlier. 

It is my hope, that we are able to support Jessica during this time.  Any amount will be greatly appreciated!
