Galloway Family Flood Relief Fund

Hey there! My name is Lexi Ford and I'm raising money on behalf of my uncle's family. During the late night of August 13th, my Uncle Lance's young children (Addison and Jacob) were having a camp out in the living room of their Louisiana home. In the very early morning hours, they were startled awake only to find themselves drenched by three inches of rapidly rising water throughout their home. Upon awakening their parents, the race was on- to pick up every possible thing of value, worth, and everything in between. After 45 minutes of frantically trying to salvage their belongings, they noticed their outside glass door was holding back approximately 2 1/2 feet of water now. At this point, the only option was to escape. Skip forward to today... almost a week later. In the past week, my family has had to return to their home (which was flooded by 4+ feet of water at one point) and try to recover the very, very few items that survived. Their house now needs to be completely gutted- carpet, floating flooring, drywall and all. Everything is gone. How does one even begin to pick up, rebuild, restore, and completely start over- especially with two young children? Speaking on behalf of a family of great faith, I know they expect nothing and are only asking for prayers at this time.
