Super Jack's Fight Against Cancer

At 2 1/2 years old, Jack always has a smile on his face and is one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet. After complaining of a tummy ache that wasn’t going away, his parents Brian and Brenna brought him to the doctor. After many X-rays, Ultrasounds, and CT-scans, on July 23rd 2016 the doctors gave Brenna and Brian the horrific news that their beautiful baby boy had stage 3 liver cancer. Jack has 3 tumors in his liver and has been diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, which is a rare type of childhood cancer.
The doctors have said he will need months of treatment and chemotherapy, lasting through January of 2017. He will also undergo surgery this fall, with the date to be determined.
Our dear friends, Brenna (Moriarty) and Brian Salay, are amazing parents. Brenna gave birth to their baby girl Clara in May, making Jack a big brother! What should be one of the happiest times in their lives has quickly turned into the scariest.
This is where we are asking family, friends, and the community to step in. Brenna and Brian are both hard-working teachers and did not want to ask for help from anyone. But the reality of hospital bills and nowhere near enough paid sick time has set in. We want to help relieve the financial anxiety of both raising a family and all of the costs associated with Jack’s treatment. Please help our friends in their courageous fight against cancer. Every little bit will help and if you can’t donate please just say an extra prayer for Jack. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
