Scully's Chemotherapy Fund

Donation protected
Four years ago my brother and I decided that we wanted to adopt a dog from our local shelter. We visited and immediately fell in love with a four month old Pitbull/Boxer mix who shyed away from the other dogs in his cage. As soon as the shelter workers opened the door of his cage, Scully ran out and jumped and licked and rolled over for us. We took Scully out for bike rides, walks, hikes, and a camping trip in which we discovered his love of swimming. Scully has always had the energy and love of a puppy and his curiosity and wonder for life, which is visible each time he travels somewhere new, meets a new person, or sees a new dog, have never ceased. A couple of days ago we were heartbroken to find out that Scully was diagnosed with Lymphoma, a cancer that affects the lymph nodes and eventually other areas of the body. Although dogs diagosed with Lymphoma respond very well to the chemotherapy for this illness and go into remission, the cancer typically returns very soon. And although Scully's life expectancy is 8-12 months with the chemo, we are reminded that this is still a long time for a dog, even though it may not seem that way to us. We want to give Scully the best life possible for as long as we can. As you can imagine, the payments for his chemotherapy will be high, and we have looked into alternatives, but we have been reassured that chemotherpay is the best option to help Scully live as long as he can and as happy as he can. Scully will begin his chemotherpay this month and the first month's bill will be at around $1,670 while we've spent around dollars $600 for his first visit. Any help, any donations, and any words of advice or strength would be greatly appreciated. We have all been devastated by the news of Scully's illness. Even then, Scully is in good spirits and has lost none of the energy and wonder he has always had. It will be up to myself and my family to make sure he retains all of his youth for as long as he can. Thank you for your time.
