JMU Equestrian Club

The JMU Club Equestrian team is a student run organization in which students are able to interact with a group of likeminded teammates. The club provides a space for our members to grow their competitive sportsmanship through our participation in IHSA, a collegiate horse show organization. While some of our members choose to compete, other’s use the space proved by the club to express their varying levels in equine involvement. Some members chose to ride for leisure, while others choose not to ride at all, and simply enjoy the stress relieving opportunities that equines and a group of like minded individuals provides.

The organization is raising money in order to keep this positive space available for all of its student participants, as well as to provide the necessary resources for our equine teammates. Our team’s horses rely on our members for care, along with the staff of Jason Berry Stables. By raising money, we are able to purchase equipment that is needed for riding, grooming supplies in order to keep our horses comfortable, and medicine to keeps the horses feeling their best.

JMU Club Equestrian takes pride in being a supportive, relaxed, openminded, accepting, and a family-like organization, composed of members who love both our team, and our horses.
