My little sister Hailey Johnston was admitted into the hospital on August 16th at 3 am. She has been diagnosed with a rare condition called ARDS. Her lungs are filled with fluid and is unable to get oxygen to her organs. She is currently on life support and in a medical induced coma.
As of right now Hailey is in a special bed called a "Rotoprone" bed that is able to turn her on her stomach. This allows her lungs to heal a little bit faster.
Hailey has a long road ahead of her and even though her mother does have insurance for her, the medical bills are coming in soon, and they will be big. With being in the ICU for a few days, in a special bed, and many treatments already given we are talking about thousands of dollars that will be paid out of my families own pocket.
All proceeds from this GoFundMe page are going directly to the family to help with the medical bills associated with Hailey's hospilization. Anything will help.
