Sparky's Surgery

Well, it turns out our new rescue puppy Sparky that we got from Animal Humane has orthopedic problems with his front limbs and needs surgery.  It's a pre-existing, genetic (breed related) condition that is not covered under pet insurance.  Basically, issues with his growth plates are prohibiting his radius in each limb to properly extend.  If he doesn't have the surgery, it is inevitable he will have elbow problems the rest of his life.  The surgeon will cut his ulnas in half to allow the radii to come in the way they are supposed to.  It is crucial for the surgery to be performed before he is fully grown (within the next 4 months).  We love Sparky and want him to live a life without pain!  We are very thankful for your donation.  Also, thanks to Dr. Marcos Gutierrez, DVM with Corrales Vet Clinic for noticing Sparky's problem, otherwise we would've never known!
