Physical Therapy car collection

My name Sorcha Duncan. I have Muscular Dystrophy. I worked hard all my life, volunteered with rescue squad, did fundraising for the MDA, created a book for awareness and helped my family whenever possible, until a surgery in Aug.  of 2014. There was an accident during surgery that caused me to require a full year to recover. I lost more strength than I would have despite all efforts, and my Employer, although wonderful, could not hold my possition for over a year. I am now, unemployed, and living on a farm in Mississippi.
Here I had been Volunteering with the Veterans Administration and going to and doing the Physical Therapy Required to keep me out of a wheelchair, and possibly be able to work again.  The Physical Therapy I require is specialized and the closest place for me to get it is an hour and a half drive away. Which leads me to the reason I am here.

While driving to the Dragonwood Conservancy, the engine in my Honda blew suddenly and without warning. It was very scary. Somehow I managed to get the car off the Interstate without getting hit, but now I have no car, and no way to get to Physical Therapy or handle any of the rest of lifes requirements. I am new here and know very few people. I a isolated where I am. Without a car, I am trapped. There isn't any form of Public transportation out here. I also have the added difficulty of only being able to drive certain car models. Right now there are only 3 car models I am able to drive and get in and out of.  I require 2 hours Therapy 2-3 times a week and it takes 3 hours of driving to get there and back. I can only do that by having a car to drive. It is all very expensive and time consuming, but I had been managing until now. I have no way to come up with the money to replace the engine in my car, and I am not able to borrow someone elses car either, even if there had been someone willing, due to the constraints of my condition, and the long term nature of my need. I have already sold virtually everything of value I had. Between losing my work, moving to a climate that is safe and my condition tolerates as well as keeping up with my current Therapy and medications, I just don't have anything left.

I have always tried to do everything on my own, but this time, I need help. Having a car makes the difference between winding up in a wheelchair far too soon, or not, as well as being able to take care of myself. My condition is on a precipice, I can't afford to go months without the Therapy I need. My condition is one that any amount of lost function is unregainable. I can't just make up for the therapy lost later on. Once you are in the wheelchair, you never leave it again. You never get better.

You have the ability with your donation to make a tremendous difference. Please keep me out of the wheelchair, Please help me get my car back. and please
