A race to remember

Cindy Hussey was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was diagnosed with cancer unexpectedly a couple months ago and it brings me to tears to say that the world lost a beautiful soul today. Her smile was contagious and her laugh would light up a room. She lived life with a purpose, and I know was very happy. She held her husband Don, son Aaron and daughter Samantha all very close and supported their dreams. She lived life as a great example of someone who would accomplished anything. When she set her mind to something, no matter how large or small, she would make it happen.
She decided late in life to get her AA degree and sure enough she was able to graduate all while making sure everything else and everyone else in life were taken care of. Then, I remember when she first came to me with an interest in working out. She asked me all about what I knew, and she made a goal right at that moment to live a healthier lifestyle. Her first day in the gym I was with her, and she only could do 10 minutes on the treadmill - lol. I laugh now because look what she has accomplished since then! She ended up having a great passion for running, and running every race she could get her hands on/enter. She once said, "It was first about health, but now it's all about the bling." She took pride in her medals. She was happy when she was running, and made life long friends along the way. She impacted their life, and I know you all had an impact on hers.
She once told me, "It doesn't matter how much time it takes to do something, because the time will pass anyway so just continue to do whatever you can to reach your goals." Another one of her goals was to put her daughter Samantha through college. Again, she did all she could to make sure this would happen. Samantha is currently a student at UCSD and even while her mother was fighting for her life she made it to every class and every exam. Her mom told her that she wanted nothing more but for her to continue class and not worry about her. Samantha still has many classes to complete so her journey, as well as her moms, isn't finished. If you are able to please make a donation of any amount in Cindy's name so that we can make sure her journey/race doesn't end here please do so. She has now tagged us at the end of her race and it would be a blessing to carry out her dreams until each one is accomplished. We are to get that medal "bling" as she would call it, for her.
Thank you for the continuing love and support to our family during this time.
