Help Save Wasabi

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help in saving my sweet cat, Wasabi. Those who know me know how much Wasabi means to me. He’s not just a pet—he’s family, my loyal companion through thick and thin, and a source of endless comfort and joy.

Wasabi was brought to the vet after he was acting strange the night before. The vet advised that he had traces of crystals in his urine, and managed to relieve his painful symptoms. We were sent home with a new diet, purchased a new water fountain, and I kept an eye on him around the clock until he started to feel better. Wasabi was displaying the same symptoms again, and was rushed to the emergency hospital where they gave him a catheter, antibiotics, a muscle relaxant and pain killers. He stayed overnight in the hospital, and was sent home the next day to continue on with his medication and new diet. So far, the vet bills have been just over $4,000.

Today on August 31st, Wasabi presented with what the vet believes to be another blockage, caused by feline idiopathic cystitis (inflammation of the bladder). The vet has suggested another catheter and overnight stay in the hospital, which could see a new vet bill of over $4000.

Wasabi is only 3 and still has so much love to give and life to live. Every day, he brings a smile to my face with his playful antics, affectionate purrs, and those big, curious eyes that seem to understand me better than anyone else. The thought of losing him is unbearable.

Getting Wasabi the veterinarian help he needs is critical, and time is running out. I’m humbly asking for your help to raise $4,000 to cover the cost of the surgery and aftercare. Any amount, no matter how small, will bring us one step closer to getting Wasabi back to his happy, healthy self.
