Help save Bonnie ❤️

My name is Aysha and my beautiful bulldog Bonnie needs your help.

Bonnie was first diagnosed with

Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome in June 2022. Bonnie had her first BOAS surgery on July 13th 2022 to widen her nostrils and shorten her soft palate. She recovered really well from the surgery and started living a great quality life with no issues.

Fast forward to 2023, Bonnie started having issues where she would bring up white foam and her breathing would take a turn for the worse. We have been trying to keep these episodes to a minimum with medication but on 29th March, bonnie attended the vets after her chest sounded really crackly and was continuously vomiting up white foam. After attending the vets, they stated that bonnie was suffering from aspiration pneumonia and we need to seriously think about a second BOAS surgery. As Bonnie was only 6 months old the first time around, the vets have said that she needs to go back under general anaesthetic to see if she needs a reconstructive surgery on her throat.

Bonnie was admitted to the vet hospital on the evening of 29th March and is currently still there on oxygen and IV antibiotics and fluids.

The estimated cost of this surgery is £2200 and with the hospital stay we are facing a huge bill of around £3000.

I first went to Bonnies insurance company who paid for the surgery the first time around, and after the pre-authorisation was declined for the second operation I was told that the insurance company had made an error paying out for the first op, and they will not pay out for the second. Plus now excluding all respiratory conditions on her policy.

I would never ask anybody for help but this is money I unfortunately cannot raise myself and I am asking the public to please help save my girl
