HELP SARAH WALK AGAIN
I am starting this campaign in hopes of achieving the financial help needed to receive stem cell treatments for my multiple sclerosis.
My Path with MS....
When I was diagnosed with MS back in 2011, I was a lively, functional, happy go lucky mother of 3 who was going back to college. From the time of my diagnoses it felt like time just stood still and I honestly didn't know what the future was going to hold. By the time we were told that I had MS, I was already not able to walk without falling over and badly bruising myself from falling down. Within the next 4 months I was not able to walk unassisted due to the lack of not being able to hold my own body weight up on my own. Its at the point now that I either have to be carried or literally crawl on the floor in order to get around the house even if its to just use the bathroom. With MS comes a lot of complications and the loss of sight is one of them, about 13 years ago I was in a bad car accident and lost my eye sight permanently in my right eye and now due to complications from the MS the sight in my left eye is starting to deteriorate now to. The doctors have had me on so many different medications to try to slow down or manage the progression of my symptoms but to no avail, my condition just seems to get worse with each passing day. Due to the different medications from injectable to oral they have only compromised my immune system even further, and ive been hospitalized multiple times because of it. I look at myself most days and now realize what a strong and determined woman i have become because of my condition. My children is where i pull the strength to strive everyday without complaints or feeling sorry for myself. The only thing I wish for is that i am one day going to be well enough to walk and play with my children again so that there childhood memories will be of positive happier times with me instead of memories of my struggles through my sickness. I didnt have much hope about any of that being possible until just recently when I stumbled across a new treatment that doctors are having tremendous success with using STEM CELLS! This new treatment is like a breath of fresh air for our family. We have been researching different doctors who specialize in this type of treatment and where to go in order to get it done. Unfortunatley the treatments are very expensive and completely out of financial range for my family and my insurance does not cover it so turning to GO FUND ME is literally my last and only option. To be able to walk again and not crawl and to be able to play with my children and just do every day things that most of us take for granted without even realizing it would literally be a dream come true and answers to my every day prayers! Im hoping that if given the financial chance for me to receive these stem cell treatments that it would put my MS into remission like it has for so many other people all over the world. I try my best to be a fantastic mother and person and to be able to feel like a normal person again would mean the world to me and our family. I have had a very hard road for the last 15 years but I am a fighter and I know that through our prayers, God, and a little help this horribly debilitating disease will be behind us and we can move forward in a positive way with life and be in a position to pay it forward. I will be forever grateful for every dollar raised through this campaign. I will also be grateful for how a community came together to help our family find some normalcy again. Every single financial donation of any amount is one step closer to me being able to walk again freely and on my own 2 feet, each and every dollar will be used in the treatments and all expenses related to my medical needs. We have already found the specialists, doctors and facilitiy that will be performing the stem cell treatments and procedures which are located in Florida and so the only thing left to do is raise the money needed which will allow us to move forward in begining the journey of getting me back on my feet! Every donated dollar puts me that much closer to receiving the treatments that I desperately need. No donation amount is to small! Every dollar counts. I would ask that you consider sharing this Go Fund Me page with others in your circle that may have the resources to help as well. In my opinion we dont need some people to donate hundreds or thousands of dollars, what we are hoping for is to have hundreds of people to donate a few dollars at a time which would be just as efficient to the end goal. Thank you for taking the time to read this and God bless!
