Pappa J's Transport Home

Almost everyone in my life knows my father Jurgen, as Pappa J or Dad And during his healthy years he was known as the crazy biker that tore through our small town. I also know during these years how many times he opened his heart to many in need or in a tough bind. He was always the first to make the biggest donation to our company fundraisers, the one to show up at a struggling single mothers door with a Christmas tree in hand, or the guy with arm loads of groceries for the family who's husband was laid off at work.

As most of you are aware Dad has been battling Cancer for quite some time and it was a non-aggressive form of Lymphoma. On Wednesday August 3rd, Dad was admitted to the hospital very confused and incoherent. Within days they found the cause of his confusion; a large mass on his brain (completely unrelated to his previous condition). As more testing revealed the mass is inoperable and even with treatment options the outcome is bleak. Dad has chosen to decline treatment and to live out his days as happy as he can be; with his daughters and family back home. We have kept fairly private about this matter as it is a difficult time and we are trying the best we can to get through this. We also ask that you understand  his visitors will be limited when he comes home to keep him comfortable. 

Dad's condition has delined much faster than we had expected and we are now faced with many extra costs to transport him from BC back to Alberta, hotel stays, food and basic essentials. I am aware these are tough times for everyone and money is tight, but every small donation will help tremendously.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped and will help, as it is much appreciated. And please remember the big teddy bear of a man we knew, just as much as the crazy biker.
