To my Family and Friends.
I am coming to you all with a heavy heart with the life that Caden's had since he was born. Being an Uncle and watching from the sidelines I can't feel what my brother (Mike) and his wife (Lindsay) have dealt with these past 4 3/4 years.
Caden has been in and out of the hospital since he was born with multiple brain surgeys, tests, scans, pretty much the works. Caden has fluid in his brain, which cannot get drain properly. He has a permanent shunt that sits close to the top of his brain. It has a tube that goes from the shunt to his stomach to drain the brain fluid.
Caden's has small very ventricles and it has made it so hard to work for a long period of time. Some have gone years with nothing wrong with the shunt. Caden has been going back in forth to the hospital every 2-5 months with problems. When the shunt doesn't do what it’s supposed to do, Caden throws up every 15 min for hours. Sometimes it can pass in 12 hours but for the majority it’s going back down to the hospital to St. Chris in Philadelphia from Reading Pa. Once they get there he has so many test to try not to have surgery again. He has gone through more than 15 surgeries with multiple tests and scans.
Caden fights with the doctors and nurses cause he knows when he sees them he knows they are going to touch him and for him hurt him. He fights so hard and it’s so hard to watch.
They reason I started this go fund me page is for not only for the multiple trips to and from the hospital, but for Mike and Lindsay as they have use up all their vacation time and miss work to be with Caden which can be weeks at the hospital since he has been born.
I know everyone has a need out there but, this one has a special place in our hearts for the years of Caden going through this and as it's still going on.
