Help to keep the lights on...

Hello, my name is Jason Howell. I am a husband to a loving wife and a father to two amazing young men. I have been in the service industry as a bartender for over 20 years. I have met some wonderful people in that time. And have made some lasting friendships. I love being able to bring people joy through my infectious smile and tasty cocktails. This industry has allowed me to meet so many great people and hear their personal stories on this journey called life. I love being a bartender. It allows me to not only create delicious drinks, but I am able to listen to people's stories. And help them feel loved and allow them to vent and feel wanted. There is something special about that bond. A bar is not just a place to drink. It is a neutral atmosphere where status and class don't matter. A place where we all can meet people who we get laugh and smile with. Where stranger become more than just regulars, they become friends. I have felt honored that I have been able to not just be a bartender, but to be a host to this gathering of souls. Unfortunately, at the end of August, I tore my bicep tendon and my rotator cuff while throwing the trash out at work. I had surgery last week to repair the damage. The Dr was able to fully repair the rotator cuff, but the bicep tendon was far to damaged. He was able to clip the bicep tendon and believes that after rest and PT I will be back to normal. The timeframe for recovery is going to be a while. I won't be able to start PT for about a month. And I won't be able to use my right arm fully for about 2-3 months. I am receiving a small amount of money from worker's comp. But it is unfortunately not enough to pay all my bills. I am asking for help paying my monthly bills for at least two months. I may be out of work longer than that. But we will cross that bridge when it comes. My monthly bills are around $1,500. If you are able to help my family and I financially, that would be awesome.
