Help With Martin's Health

About 10 days ago Scott had an episode where his occasional breathing problems crossed the line into a serious health concern as he began turning blue, unable to get enough oxygen in his blood. Finally recognizing his need to get outside help and take better care of himself, he has taken some time away from work, and will be traveling from his current place of service in Indonesia, to another location in Southeast Asia where he can assess medical and support services. His wife Anjie will travel with him. They are scheduled to spend two weeks with assessment and treatments.Scott and Anjie have lived a life of service to others and in doing so has often neglected themselves. As word as gone out about this concern, many people have surrounded the family in prayer, concern and practical assistance. Many others have asked what else they could do to help. The Martins report that they are blessed with a supportive work environment and good health coverage that will cover most of the medical expenses. But, we all know that there are additional expenses, transportation, housing, support services, and more that are not. By our guesstimation about $1900. We know that this family has given their lives to serve others, now in this time of need we thought we could surround them with not only the prayers and good wishes, but some of us have means to support them financially as well. For those who don't know them: Scott Martin is a leading authority in global student transition m, with 20 years of service to students and families in cultural transition. He currently serves as Secondary Principal at a Christian International School in Indonesia. Anjie, both an expert in educational technology as well as an experienced leader in cultural transition, is the IT Director and Drama Director at the same school. They have one son, Dominic, who is a Junior studying Global Business and Information Systems at Anderson University in Indiana.
