Team Takeover Black (9U)

The media would have us believe that the outlook for young African American males is bleak.  We, the parents of the 9U Team Takeover AAU Basketball Team of Prince George's County, say this is not so.  In fact, we believe that our sons' futures are very bright. 

The AAU Basketball League is about much more than developing athletic prowess.  The League teaches discipline, encourages healthy competition, and promotes academic excellence.  Our sons work hard both on and off the court.  Each one of them likes to compete on the highest level in all areas of life.  With the help of skilled devoted coaches Team Takeover has performed extraordinarily well this year.  Their hard work and commitment have landed them a spot in the AAU National Basketball Championship in Orlando, Florida scheduled for July 28 "“ August 2, 2013. 

Help us debunk the myths concerning our young boys and pour into their lives.  We need your financial assistance to eliminate any and all resource barriers that may prevent any one of them from attending this year's Championship.  We want to ensure that all our boys are able to attend and play at their very best.  The fundraising goal is $10,000.  The funds raised will be used for the team's registration, housing, and food.  We truly appreciate all donations no matter the size.  No donation is too small. 

Together we can provide a life changing experience to our boys.  Not only will your donation allow them to remain competitive in the sport they love, but it will also provide a memorable experience that could very well catapult them into their future.
