When I began racing bikes I also began the process of trying to figure out how to go faster on the bike. I went through numerous modifications with brakes, shifting and recently a steer damper. Many years ago I also began the process of having a prosthetic built that would allow me to mountain bike and withstand the abuse of technical trails and descents .
I currently have a custom chest harness and shoulder socket designed to receive an arm built by Dr. Will Craig of Advanced Prosthetic Technologies. Recently I was awarded a grant towards the purchase of the Arm built by Dr. Craig. Challenged Athletes Foundation awarded me $800.00 towards the purchase of the prosthetic. The total cost of the arm is $5,200. Upon hearing the news of the grant, several friends ,sponsors and organizations have asked how they can help. This group/ page is a place where you can offer support, suggestions and for those that can't wait till cross season to heckle me.
