Randy Jones Funeral Service

This is my brother Randy.  

He was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma in December of 2013.  

He had chemotherapy and was in remission.  He was referred for a bone marrow transplant at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance but his cancer returned after one month so they did not do the transplant but was sent home to Montana.  Subsequently he had a bone marrow transplant at the City of Hope in Duarte, California.  His donor cells came from Germany.  While the transplant was a grueling process, he did get better.  After thirteen months in California he returned home to Montana.

He did develop Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD) which for a while was minimal and improving.  In July, however, he was hospitalized for kidney failure due to the numerous medications he has been taking since his transplant.  Again, he began to improve.  

Unfortunately his GVHD worsened and he was life flighted completely unresponsive to a hospital in Missoula, Montana on life support with a massive pneumonia/sepsis.  He was on a ventilator and numerous IVs to help him fight the infection.  Each day we saw a tiny bit of improvement and everyone prayed that he pulled through, but to our utmost sadness, he passed away on August 31st, 2016.

Randy was the kindest soul and had a heart of gold.  The world needs more people like him.  His situation caused great financial strain, not just with the cremation and funeral home expenses, but the life flight transportation he required as well.  It was terribly expensive and not covered by his insurance.

Anything you can donate would be used to help relieve the financial burden on his widow, Chris, who has been left responsible for the cost of his funeral services, his medical expenses and the mounting costs of transportation for his family to be near him.
