Erin Verscheure is a one-of-a-kind 18-year-old girl. She is sweet, kind, funny, super-caring and ALWAYS puts other people before herself.
A recent high school graduate, Erin was excited to begin college and work at a swim school teaching children how to swim. All of her plans have been placed on hold because of her recent stage III colorectal cancer diagnosis. What was once a life that was comprised of friends, college, work and fun has now changed to testing, follow-up appointments, specialists and hospitals. Erin will soon be beginning treatment that will involve surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, more surgery and then even more chemotherapy. Over the next few months, Erin and her family will be on a journey that no family should ever have to endure.
As a close family friend, it is my hope that we will all be able to wrap Erin in our love, support and prayers as she begins her treatment. My goal for this campaign is that we will be able to come together and raise funds to pay for Erin's medical needs so that her battle can focus on BEATING cancer, not the financial burdens that cancer brings. Any support that you can offer will be so helpful to Erin and her family. Erin's mom, Rachel, will be managing these funds so that we can be sure that everything financially is overseen by her and Erin can focus her energy on getting better and not on the medical bills!
