Help Inga & Matt kick cancer's ass!

Hi there,

As some of you may know Inga was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.  While that has been a shock to us both and our family, the added assault upon our financial health has become quite the burden.

Even though Inga has health insurance there is a very sizeable out of pocket we are having  to meet. To add difficulty to that she is now on long term disability while she goes through chemotherapy. This is great for her health and progress to fight and win against the disease but it only provides up to 75% of her earning per month.
Inga is the primary breadwinner in our household so this is a big hit.

I also have had to miss quite a bit of work to help care for her and that has caused my income to be hit incredibly hard as well. 

We are looking at six months treatment for her.  With the out of pocket expense for medical bills and loss of income this is extremley trying, stressful and difficult.

 Neither Inga or I are really comfortable with asking for handouts, it is not really in our nature. Both Inga and I have worked very hard during our lives to get into a house and stay in Portland over the years. These new circumstances are  exceptional to say the least.

Our family has helped as they can, but they do not have the means to keep us afloat the coming months.
And we are humbled and grateful for whatever help anyone may be able to offer us. 
Any money raised will be used to help pay off medical bills and keep us going in the coming six months.
