Help Bring Julia Yakobi Back Home

Please help bring our beautiful mom back home to Canada.

Julia Yakobi is a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend, employee and anyone can attest that she is an incredible individual. And she is currently stranded in Moscow due to an error that was made by the Canadian Embassy in Moscow which they refuse to rectify.

Upon an application for a travel document which she is lawfully entitled to, an error was made by the Canadian embassy , which not only yielded the refusal of her travel document, but also stripped her of the rights to her permanent residency. Based on their refusal to even reopen the case despite countless attempts on our behalf (with immense amounts of proof), they still refuse to look into it and fix THEIR mistake.

Because of this error, starting Sept 6, our Mom will be left homeless with no where to go in Moscow since she is not allowed to return to her home in Toronto.

Furthermore, because of their mistake, she will lose both of her current employments at two Canadian colleges in Toronto, and in effect, is in the process of literally losing everything she has. We have contacted the Canadian Embassy in Moscow, Immigration Canada, countless counseling services, the Privacy Commissioner's office, Global Affairs Canada, and even have gone to her Member of Parliament, yet no one has yet been able to help.

Julia Yakobi is a single mom and had given up everything to bring my sister and I to Canada to give us a brighter future. She escaped an abusive relationship, ran away with just two suitcases and came to Canada to restart everything and start from zero. And now, 11 years later, after years of hard work and dedication to this country, she is being denied her lawful right to return to the life that she has spent 11 years building. Everything is falling apart and we really need your help.

We need to set my mom up with a place to live in Moscow, hire an immigration lawyer, pay for her food and livelihood in Moscow since she is left without a job, pay for a storage in Toronto to store all her personal belongings and pay two months worth of rent fees in Toronto due to unexpected lease cancellation. But most importantly, we need your help with bringing her back home.
