In memory of Brie De Husson

One of our GCI family, Lisa Wurts of CSD, lost her son a week ago, Brie (Bryant) De Husson.
Brie was an amazing young person who deeply cared about people, community and our world. Brie, who preferred to go by the pronoun “they”, was committed to making things better. They dedicated their energies and participated in these worthwhile goals. Brie was an example that we should emulate to make our community better. At a bike ride and vigil held in Brie’s honor, people that knew Brie recounted how they cared for the environment, and those less fortunate. Brie had a very nurturing heart, often providing food to the hungry and friends in need. Brie lived what they believed: We are all one village and we all need to positively contribute and embrace our wonderful freedoms and opportunities to make things better.
Donations will be given to Lisa and family for any unplanned expenses, and to honor Brie, whose kind and gentle heart was tragically taken from us too soon.
Their family is organizing a Celebration of their Life for Sunday September 11th.
