For those of you that know me, you know that I have always lived my life in the fast lane. That all changed on April 21, 2012, when I was out riding my Harley with a group of friends. We were on the way back to our campsite andI was hit by a truck. The drivers were intoxicated and had no insurance. I laid there helpless, while they told my friends to leave and head home, "Doug did not make it" he told them.
Later as I was being lifeflighted to San Antonio, they decided to try and jump start me back. Well did they ever. I came to and that's when surgery after surgery began. I hated it but was so glad I would soon be back to my old days. Little did I know that it was not going to be easy. As most of you know I'm pretty hard headed and can say the absolute craziest things and even the nicest things just as easy. I am thankful for my family for helping me so much and my friends too. I need a little help cause believe it or not I'm getting tired of asking mom and dad for this and that. I have been waiting on a motorized wheelchair and the insurance companies can't seem to get it together and get me dialed in. So ORP and a few other friends who asked not to be named thought I could do this so here I am asking for a small donation so I can get a wheelchair that will go over the rocks and gravel at my house and out at the ranch and just an all-around all-terrain custom wheelchair and I will prove to the doctors that I will be able to move my left side of my body and as always "TO FAST TO LIVE TO TOUGH TO DIE"!
