Urgent help to evacuate my family out of Gaza

Hi. My name is Rasheda Alfaiomy & I am making this desperate plea to the public to help me, help my family. Most of the world is aware that Gaza is facing extreme hardships right now. This GoFundMe page is to help my family evacuate Gaza and get the basic necessities they desperately need to survive. My husband and I have been providing for my family so far, but the financial burden has been overwhelming. I now have to rely on the kindness of strangers to help during these difficult times.

I have 20 family members currently living in Gaza. All of them have been displaced several times after their homes were destroyed in an airstrike and they are currently homeless living in a small tent on the street in southern Gaza. The winter has brought new challenges to their living situation and the tent they were able to secure has not been able to keep up with the weather. The nights are frigid and my family often sleep on the cold wet floor caused by the leaking roof of their tent.

My 77 year old father and my 70 year old mother are finding it difficult to cope with the living conditions. Their age and health issues add another level of challenges. Especially since they can’t afford to buy medicine to treat their conditions. My elderly mother was found laying unconscious in the street several times due to her heart conditions, while searching for medicine, water or food. My 12 year old nephew, Taim, was hit by shrapnel from an explosive while searching for food and water. The shrapnel is lodged in his skull and he is in need of surgery, one he cannot obtain at the remaining overcrowded hospitals due to a shortage of supplies and staff. Taim is currently suffering from fainting episodes and frequent headaches from his injuries.

My other nieces and nephews are not only physically sick due to the contaminated drinking water, they are also emotionally exhausted from the horrors they have witnessed. They can barely afford to eat a single meal a day and are slowly starving to death. The money I am currently able to send them is barely keeping them alive since the war has caused the cost of goods to become hyper inflated.

We will use your kind donations to send them funds for food, clothing, sheltering supplies, and medicine and evacuate them out of Gaza. In the event that this war ends soon, or they are lucky enough to be evacuated, any funds remaining from this page will go towards helping them rebuild a new life.
