Here's the update- over 200 homes are a total loss with a lot not being in a flood zone, they are going receive very little government and state support to rebuild. This is heartbreaking- These residents also only had about less than an hour to evacuate so they were unable to gather valuable and move them to a higher ground, etc. These people have lost everything and are currently homeless. This isn't your average spring flooding situation- this is a tragedy and any personal items or monetary donations you can make would be more than appreciated, they are definitely needed.
