2nd Sterilization Campaign in Puerto Escondido
Donation protected
English Below
Hola a tod@s!

________________
We are so happy to announce that we had a very successful first sterilization campaign thanks to your last donations!
The community was very motivated and very interested in spaying their animals, and also, they totally approved paying our small recovery amount for each surgery ($200 Mexican pesos). At the end we were able to do 275 animals! From this animals we spayed:
- 145 female dogs
- 41 male dogs
- 61 female cats
- 28 male cats
Since we had a very good answer from the community, we want to start a new fund raise but this time for 300 surgeries! 5 days of campaign in total (60 animals per day) so this would be a total of $105,000 Mexican pesos less the $29,108 we have, we need to raise $75,892 and expecting that most of the people will pay for their surgery, we only need to raise this time $2,500 USD including the expenses for the vets and the expenses for the campaign. We also want to provide nextgard to the dogs that we find at the campaign full of flys and ticks, we want to be able to give this pill to the owners so the dogs can be out of this bugs. And taking advantage that the vet can sell us vaccines for very low cost ($100 pesos) we also want to order at least 20 vaccines so we are able to vaccinate all of our rescued dogs!

So this is the break down of the money we need to raise:
$29,000 for the campaign (assuming that 250 people will pay the low cost amount $200)
$6,000 for the gasoline and food for the vets (they are coming in car, with all the materials, to do it less expensive)
$3,225 for 15 nextgard pills (for 60kg dogs, we always split this pills so we can give it to more dogs)
$2,000 for 20 vaccines
This is a total $40,225 pesos (2,500 USD)
We really hope you can continue helping us! Let’s all remember this is the only way to go to the roots of this social problematic with the dogs in Puerto Escondido and the communities around. Our goal is also to be able to visit other communities outside of Puerto.
Thank you so much for your support! We are very very thankful!
