2nd Wind For Jamie Medical Expenses

After nearly ten years post transplant, Jamie has found herself back in Pittsburgh with complications from a recent illness that is affecting her donar lungs. During the course of treatment over the last 10 days, Doctors have discovered infection in her lungs, return of cepacia bacteria, and evidence of rejection. Although they are treating her for these conditions, she will need to stay in Pittsburgh for the next two to three weeks to receive antibiotics and a repeat bronchoscopy, to make sure they have stopped the rejection.

Along with these additional medical expenses, Jamie has been fighting for  the past 9 months to restore her Social Security Disability and Medicare coverage.  This has added a great deal of stress to both her and Bryan, emotionally and financially.

With great humility, they turned to their family for help in their endeaver to get Jamie to Pittsburgh. With their unexpected extended stay in Pittsburgh, we are now reaching out to friends and family to show your support and love to help Jamie and Bryan in her recovery process. Funds raised will go towards their stay in the Family House that is on the campus of UPMC, meals, and travel expenses.
