Homeless & Disabled, got Apartment

Donation protected
I have a wonderful one bedroom, wheelchair accessible, subsidized apartment waiting for me in Oakland.

I was on the waiting list for three years, and now it's mine, but I need to move in by October or I'll be homeless again.

I'm 45, use a power wheelchair for multiple sclerosis, and survive on  a very small monthly disability income.

I cannot afford to pay the security deposit, first month's rent and the moving expenses (from Sacramento), all at once.

Paying the rent after I move will be no problem, but these initial expenses I simply cannot afford.

I don't drink, do drugs, gamble or anything else that you might consider a waste of money.

I haven't had a place of my own in almost 14 years.   Any excess funds (if I should be so lucky) will be used to purchase a coffee maker,  microwave,  pots & pans, curtains, dishes,  eating table, mops, brooms, cleaners, etc.
Maybe even a chair or couch that my healthcare worker can sit on.

Please help me if you can.   Even just a $5 donation  would be much appreciated.

Being homeless when you're in a wheelchair is really, really hard, and moving into this apartment would really mean and change the world for me.

Please and thank you,.
