Get Mr.Rushton Well Again

On Sunday my father (or as many of you know him- Mr.Rushton) fell off a ladder in his studio. He was knocked unconscious, suffered a concussion, an open wound on his head, and has seriously broken his back. This has come as such a surprise to me and my family, and we have realized we may need some help.
I reach out to you...his friends and his students to help our family, to help Bill, Mr.Rushton, my dad.
Currently, our insurance is fighting against us and will not let him enter an acute rehab center because they do not want to cover the cost. Initially, my mom thought she was covered with this type of accident, but insurance has a sneaky way of wording things that led us astray. As a result, my dad has been placed in a nursing home where the care is subpar (less therapy time etc.) and the environment is horribly bleak. He has been there a day, and is already ready to leave.He wants to go home. He wants to get better...but he doesn't want to be there.
I want my dad to have the best support and care possible. He deserves the world in my opinion. We are fighting to have him transfered and will have to pay out of pocket for fees. Thus, anything raised will go to paying medical fees and fees associated with the rehab center: nightly fees, therapy, and assessment fees. This is an estimate for now, as we expect the cost to be much more. We expect the cost to be around $15,000.
My father is my hero. He is my best friend. He is the epitome of kindness, creativity, strength, wisdom, positivity, and just the right amount of inappropriate humor. He has touched the lives of so many people, and I want him to continue to do so.
